Recent Senior Debutant - Riley Easton was in the news this week, getting a mention in the Tuesday Talking Points from AFLQ
"GO ON, SON!"
Riley Easton may have looked a bit like an Auskicker when he ran out for the Western Magpies in the QAFL on Saturday, but he played like a seasoned veteran. The 16 year old, who would be lucky to weigh 55kg ringing wet, put his body on the line time and time again, and was then able to hurt the Sandgate Hawks with his run and carry. When he got on the end of one for a goal in the third quarter, he was mobbed by 17 teammates who came from everywhere to get around him. He is going to be a star of the competition in the future.
This week vs UQ, Riley is joined by his brother in the Senior lineup in a proud day for the Easton family. This also creates a great weekend of family footy at the Nest, with the Magpies Senior lineup remarkably being represented by 3 sets of brothers in the Eastons, McEvoys and Mitchells!
