The Sherwood 3rds (aka the Woodsmen) are a socially minded team, but take their footy very seriously and enjoy healthy competition. Training is as relaxed or as intense as each individual chooses to make it, and nobody is judged on which option they choose!

Heavily integrated back into the Sherwood Senior footy program since 2017, the Woodsmen retain their traditional jumper while playing under the Sherwood logo and players who miss selection in the QAFL Reserves are selected to play QFA for the Woodies, but will continue to train with the QAFL squad.

Competing in the QFA Friday Night competition, the Woodsmen are a traditionally strong side in the competition having now played in 17 consecutive finals series, winning 5 Premierships and being Grand Finalists on 8 occasions. Including back to back Premierships in 2021 and 2022.

The team is a very eclectic mix of players with QAFL experience, down to players graduating from Junior Football, adults taking up the game and everything in-between.
