Club Communications

 The club primarily communicates to the players, past players, families and friends via Facebook, Instagram and the club web page. It is recommended that you regularly follow these three sources of information to stay up to date.

There are several other communications that are published by the club throughout the season.

Team of the Week (weekly)

Team of the week is a composite team made up of the best players from every team club wide, from U8s through to Seniors. Representation in this team recognises a players outstanding efforts in the preceding week. Team of the week is usually published to social media channels by Thursday of each week, and will be posted to Club News on the web site. Team managers also distribute to player families.

Around the Grounds (weekly)

A weekly update distributed via email to the Sherwood Magpies players, parents, care-givers, past players, sponsors and other interested parties.  This information won’t be published on websites or social media.  It’s by no means a secret, but it will include match reports, the following weeks draw for all grades and any upcoming events.

“The Full Swoop” -  Sherwood Australian Football Club Newsletter (monthly)

The Full Swoop will be a monthly newsletter comprising of notes from Club President, Junior President, Venue Manager, Senior Coach, Colts Coaches, Girls and Women’s Coach or Coaching Coordinators. The newsletter will be published in Club News on the web site and distributed via email to all interested parties.

Compiled by stalwart Sherwood Magpies supporter and Life Member Dr. Greg Thompson, these articles previewing the upcoming round of QAFL football will be uploaded on to the Sherwood Magpies Australian Football Club and shared on social media sites.
