GET A KICK START IN THE SPORTS INDUSTRY

Are you a Grade 11 or Grade 12 student who wants to work in the sports industry?

Get A Kick Start and become an AFL9s Match Day Officer for our Spring AFL9s Competition.

The Sherwood Magpies AFL9s competition has gone from strength to strength every year and this year it is expected to grow even bigger.

The competition is run by Cam and Max, two passionate Sherwood people who have a love for the club and growing the game.

This year Cam and Max want to offer the opportunity to Grade 11 and 12 students who may wish to follow a similar pathway to them after school, to assist setting up Match Days.

Although it is a volunteer role, this is a great and easy way to put something valuable on your resume. Below are some details of what the role will entail.

AFL9s Match Day Officers

Who?

  • Grade 11/12 students looking to gain experience in the sports industry

  • Team players who are willing to take initiative

  • Passionate about sport

  • Strive to do their best and are wanting to improve and grow

What?

Sherwood AFL9s Match Day Officers will assist the Coordinators in setting up AFL9s Match Days, and learn what it takes to match manage games.

They will also get an insight and be trained into what it takes to run a successful competition.

Why?

To gain an insight in what it is like to work in the sports experience, learning from Max and Cam who are experienced AFL9s coordinators.

Put something easy and valuable on your resume.

It is a volunteer role. However, Math Day Officers will be looked after well, to make sure this is a positive/worthwhile experience.

When?

Monday Nights. October 14 - December 2. 5pm - 7:00 pm.
